AFTERLIVES/AFTERSPACES
JUNE - DECEMBER 2026
WHAT SURVIVES AFTER A DECADE OF ARTISTIC INTERVENTIONS?
Marking a decade of the Revolving Art Incubator (RAI), this programme reflects on the incubator as both a site and a method, an evolving space that has continually negotiated the boundaries between place and world, artist and audience, archive and experimentation.
#TENTEN Afterlives / Afterspaces considers what remains, what transforms, and what emerges from ten years of artistic incubation.
The programme unfolds across June–December 2026 as a series of overlapping temporal and spatial registers, bringing together over 100 artists, curators, filmmakers, futurists, traditional knowledge holders and thinkers in the city of Lagos:
Residues
revisiting past works, archives, and unresolved propositions
Reactivations
Re-staging, reworking, or re-entering previous gestures
Interferences
new commissions that interrupt continuity and question lineage
Futures-in-Delay
speculative works that resist closure or final form
